The 2008 Fulton County Plat Book is available at the Fulton County Extension Office in Lewistown for $28.00. Stop by the office to pick one up or call 547-3711 to receive one by mail.

Registration is now beginning for the 2008 Dog Obedience School held at the Fulton County Fairgrounds. The sessions are for ages 8-18 ($25) and adults ($30). Sessions begin at 6:00 p.m. and are May 19, June 2, 9, 16, 23, and 30; and July 7 and 14. Call 547-3711 for more info or for registration forms.

All kids need to know about Farm Safety! On June 12 come and learn about tractor, fire, wildlife, bike, horse and livestock, hunting, outdoor food, and personal safety. For kids ages 6 and up. FREE! Lunch provided. Youth registered by June 2 will receive a free drawstring totebag, and will be in a drawing for a bicycle or bicycle helmet. Held at Mason County 4-H Fairgrounds in Havana. If you enjoy perennial gardening, check out the new U of I Extension website, Stepping Stones to Perennial Garden Design. Developed by horticulture educator Martha Smith, the site includes information on site assessment, bed preparation and maintenance, and perennial selection and placement in the garden. A special feature is a garden design with a plant list in the Perennial Placement section.
